Hello my friends.
I have returned.
The thoughts I own,
I have now earned.
A little ember burning bright.
A flash of light, the thought ignites
All who see, and all who do.
What you believe, and what you choose.
And now that you know I’m here.
It is time that I disappear.
Poetry
Reboot
Rip the heart out of the machine as copper spirals up and down
Rip the heart from the machine as no soul can be found
Tear the music from the air, silence as it is profound
Tear the soul of Earth with concrete covered ground
Honor
Rally once more, war torn soldier
Your sights have not seen their last
More evil to calm, more blood to pay
For the sanctuary of man does not last
Rally your cry, war torn soldier
Your voice is not yet in the past
It takes the brave for demons are to be slayed
This great cost to shelter the mass
Rally once more, war torn soldier
Bring the light in darkness so vast
Step into the next, paid for with death
Your slumber is earned at last
Rathermore
I’d rather love than hate
Both are powerful
Each carries weight
I’d rather live than die
Both are painful
Each consume time
I’d rather fail than not try
Both take a part of you
Each change your life
I’d rather think than know
Both are dangerous
Each must decide for their own
Reawakening
All these years I have been conscious
with eyes open and a upright
I’ve answered when questions are asked
although not always right
I’ve seen the sun in the morning
and the moon at night
felt pure darkness
and bathed in brilliant light
I have known joy and love.
Felt sorrow and despair
I’ve taken in life
the same as my lungs draw in air
Though I have been conscious
with eyes open and upright
Only for a short time
Have I truly been awake and in the light
When vision gets clouded with pain
and our life’s a chore
We sleep and forget
we’ve been given so much more
Others to love, grieve with and this life share
Our mind reawakened
not without cost
The same as all that is rare
Those
Those who work are working
Those who won’t are lurking
Those who live are living
Those who die are dying
Those who fear are fearing
Those whom spin are spinning
Those who lie are lying
Those who aren’t are not buying
Those who want are trying
Those who won’t are crying
Those who believe you can’t
Those who achieve in spite of the rant
Those who live are living
To give to those who need giving
Those whom decided they are dying
Have already given up even trying
Wealth
I will move on before you
Don’t shed a single tear
I’ve always known
I would see these things before
Would move to hold and indear
I never really wanted to
Had wished to just play dumb
Had wished to ignore the truth
That I will see the next
Before it comes
I’ve always known
That there was more than here
That I was meant to be somewhere else
Never really wanted to
Accept the cost of all this wealth
That’s why I always played along
Quick to joke and laugh
Fast to speak and much to do
I always knew
This couldn’t last
Matriarch
What can be said
A person could speak
up to million words
and still not convey
What can be said
This person knew which few words
of that million you needed to hear
On any given day
Homeward
Home is where your heart is at any given hour.
Past old memories and scars that still hold their power.
You only find the place you’ve been looking for after you ask.
Pride lies to your mind, this is the place where we finally move past.
You’ll know when you’ve arrived because you are fulfilled at last.
Home is where your heart is at any given hour.
Acceptance
I will lose, I will lose for being me.
I accept that fate for there are many who will not see.
As I lose even the more will I gain.
In speaking my own thought I will find others as me, unrestrained.
